well we are here in midsummer 2011 and once again I am enjoying playing golf enormously at yarrow valley, and also once again I can't thank phil and all the the team for keeping the course in magnificent condition, its no wonder its so popular with golfers of all ages so I am extending a very big thank you to phil and the team for making mine and all the other golfers enjoyment so great, THANK YOU

Having endured the longest cold spell for some years it is understandable that the course has been closed for longer than anyone of us would like, and yes it is very frustrating, but as this is mother nature throwing this at us we are in no position to argue, and though some members might question the fact that they pay there membership for twelve months and only get 8 or 9 months golfing what they should remember is that when they do get to play the course is spot on for there enjoyment, so I have no hesitation in saying that I will renew my membership when its due in april as I love playing the course, until then I will just bide my time practise on the driving range and look forward to the day when the course is playable.

LIKE ME I KNOW THAT MANY GOLFERS WHO USE THE COURSE WILL BE BITTERLY DISSAPOINTED AT THE LONG CLOSURE DUE TO THE WEATHER, HOWEVER IF THESE MEASURES WERE NOT TAKEN THEN THE COURSE WOULD CUT UP QUITE BADLY
AND THE REPAIR WORK TO GET IT IN A PLAYABLE CONDITION WILL BE COSTLY, WE MIGHT SAY THAT THE MANAGEMENT ARE ERRING ON THE TOO CAUTIOUS SIDE BUT I FOR ONE KNOW THAT THE END RESULT WILL BENEFIT US ALL IN THE END

THIS IS THE SECOND REVIEW THAT I HAVE E MAILED AND I CAN ONLY ENDORSE WHAT I SAID BEFORE, EVERY TIME I PLAY THE STAFF ARE TRYING TO IMPROVE THE COURSE, OK IT MIGHT BE A BIT TRICKIER BUT IT IS ANOTHER CHALLENGE TO TRY AND OVERCOME AND ITS THAT CHALLENGE THAT WE ALL ENJOY, AND YES I TOO HAVE LOST BALLS IN THE POND BUT THAT ONLY MAKES MORE WORTHWHILE WHEN YOU SUCEED TO PASS THE POND NOT TO OFTEN MIND BUT IT CAN BE DONE
SO WELL DONE ALL ROUND TO THE STAFF IT IS MUCH APPRECIATED. PETER R CHAMBERS

yarrow valley is a lovely course i have been visiting this course for about 9 yeats now it is very well looked after and is good for improving your short game i would recomend this golf club to anybody both beginers and experienced golfers it can be very challanging.

Well looked after, compact course consisting of mostly short, par 3 holes (1 par 4). Enjoyable and relaxing, but not as easy as it sounds!!!! Water that intersect the fairway on the 2nd and 3rd holes were fun (especially after i'd lost 5 balls!). Unforgiving bunkers expertly positioned to catch you out, perfectly shaped to ensure that your ball stays in there! The fairways are wide, mostly straight and well cut. A perfect 9 hole course for all (especially if you are not very good at distance shots ilke me!) Worth every penny.

Cracking little course, which is well looked after by the owners. Always being improved, with new plantations of trees etc. Greens are immaculate. Excellent views. Little club shop, practice putting green and nets. Very pleasant staff...

A wonderful well kept 09 Hole course, all par 3 except the 250yard 2nd (par4) plenty of balls have seen and
are in the water (approx 170 from Tee), also a water hazard is in the middle of the 3rd. Wonderful views
over Chorley. Call the club before setting off as it is closed when the weather is wet.
Highly Reccommended to improve your short game.
