GOLF CLUB REVIEWS

13/07/2010 - Sent by Martin Gilbert
Can't believe that nobody's posted a review about Whitefield since 2003, nor why it's not busier. The course is in fantastic condition, and even though it's not long (5771 yards from the yellows) it's a great test of golf whatever your ability. Don't be fooled - it starts gently enough, but the back 9, and in particular the final 3 holes, really sort out the men from the boys. We played on a Saturday morning, when the halfway house was open, and that's another treat! Great day out.

Played this course on the 10/09/2003.
Had a really great time at whitefield golf course. A freind and I played here on route to the England/Leichenstein football match. We were made very welcome by staff in the Pro shop, in the club house and by other members too.
After an evening of heavy rain fall the course played incredibley well, the fairways were in good condition and the greens were superb, with perfect roll on every putt(and I should know I had enough of them).
The course has a mix of straight forward par 4's and some testing one's. All the par three's are great fun, quite testing, but very playable. Then there is a good par 5 of just over 500 yards.
At times there are some stiff walking areas, but make sure to pencil this golf course into your agenda of places to play, I am sure you will enjoy it.
Thanks everyone at whitefield!

OTHER INFORMATION
