CLUB HISTORY
Founded in 1908. Hosted the Smurfit Irish P.G.A. Championship in 2002. Event won by Paul McGinley who later that year sank the winning putt in the Ryder Cup. Course set in 260 acres, formly part of the Lord Sligo Estate. Breath taking views of Irelands Holy mountain - Croagh Patrick. Irelands Tidiest Large Town 2004; Westport is situated less than 2 miles from the Championship Course.
