For the money, not a bad course. Some drainage issues on almost every hole, but to be fair the rain the two days before was extremely heavy. Feet got soaked on the low lying areas of the course and the ball got plugged in the ground often. The course itself is well thought out with nice holes to play.

The staff were unpleasent, a smile would go a long way! One thing to note is they don't accept cards, so you need cash, and there are no cash machines close-by.

Maybe worth a visit in warm, dry weather but don't go out of your way.

Nice Course A Bit soggy in the wet.
Pitty they dont tell you to Watch your car in there car park. Had mine Stolen from there only to find out a car a fortnight is taken from this golf course. No Signs and no CCTV. Wonder what they do with all those green fees. Its a shame they dont tell you about the car theives before they take your money. Play at your own peril.

Excelent course, very challaging and very long! Shame, however, that it is open to the public without any clothing restrictions, allowing the rif raf to speed around the course in ther buggies donning the kind of clothing found in a toxteth sports hall, and showing the behaviour found in a zoo at feeding time.

Best options... Avoid the scouse hooligans, play very early morning, or in the week.

Wooded parkland in grounds of former Walton Hall estate. Regarded as one of the best municipal courses in the country.

2 miles South of Warrington. M56 junction 10/11.
