CLUB HISTORY
Founded In 1886. The present course was opened in 1926 and the famous course designer James Braid was its original creator. In the mid 1990s, course architect, Patrick Merrigan was engaged to re-designed the course. the result is a magnificent course which combines the best of James Braid design with new sand-based undulating greens, mounding,creation of three lakes,bunkering, an excellent drainage system ensures that the course is playable all year round together with the addition of more trees, provides a course of championship standard to the discerning golfer.
The 5th,6th,16th and 18th holes in particular,provide the visitor with an unforgettable challenge.

From Dublin, take the N4, (signposted The West,Lucan) travel for 2.9 KM on the Lucan Bypass - N4 entering Lucan,continue forward onto Leixlip Bypass - M4 (signposted Sligo,M4), forward to Toll Plaza.
Leave the M4 at junction 11,then at roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the N6 (signposted (Galway)-17.1km.
At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the N52, continue forward onto Tullamore-drive forward straight through the town (on the road for Birr)for 2.1km, take the right for Kinnity (r421),travel for 2.5km, arrive at Tullamore Golf Club - on the right.
