THE COURSE
Officially designated an area of outstanding natural beauty, 133 acres of park land - bordered by the river Thames - make an exquisite and tranquil setting for the Springs golf course. Within this lies 3 lakes and challenging natural wetland areas to add to its attractions. <P> The course was designed by former Ryder Cup Captain, Brian Huggett MBE, and has traditional features such as a double green and a sleepered bunker. The 6470 yard course poses many challenging shot making opportunities throughout the round to golfers of every standard. the course also boasts an excellent short game practice area. The course has been open for 4 years and has proved popular as a venue for corporate and charity golf days, golfing breaks, societies and visitors. <P> THE CLUBHOUSE This blends perfectly with the existing Tudor styling of the on-site hotel. It houses a spacious open aspect foyer with a spike bar, excellent restaurant , lounge and BBQ area on the terrace. It has well equipped changing rooms and also its own conference facility, to combine business with golf. <P> THE HOTEL The Springs is a fine example of a Victorian Tudor style country house. Built in 1874, it overlooks a spring-fed lake in its own gardens. The hotel has 31 guestrooms and suites, all of their own individual style. Leisure facilities include a sauna, heated outdoor swimming pool and a croquet lawn. Fishing is also available on-site on the banks of the River Thames. The hotel has extensive conference facilities.
