GOLF CLUB REVIEWS

15/05/2010 - Sent by steve rust
  hole by hole guide
1/ 308 yds par 4 Good drive should leave a short pitch to a raised subtly undulating green. Good birdie chance
2/ 432 yds par 4 Beast of a hole often playing into wind requiring two of your best.Out of bounds all the way up left hand side. More problems at the green as it slopes steeply front to back. Put ball in the wrong place and 3 putts a definite possibility
3/ 370 yds par 4 Dog left left off back tees so slight draw required leaving mid to short iron to a bowl shaped green
4/ 420 yds par 4 90 degree dog leg. Big hitters can take on the corner but anything hit left is big trouble. 3wood to the corner will leave a mid to short iron to a 40 yd long green so club selection important
5/ 189 yd par 3 Out of bounds over the wall on left with a long bunker protecting the right of a fairly flat green
6/ 300 yd par 4 Slight dogleg left with railway line out of bounds on right and water meandering up the left hand side. short iron to a flat picturesque green framed by trees
7/ 380 yds par 4 Good drive should carry dip in the fairway at about 230 yds. shorter hitters may be left with hanging lies as fairway is undulating near the dip. Mid to short iron to well protected green sloping slightly back to front
8/ 490 yd par 5 Slight dogleg off the tee and watch out for the bunker hidden over the rise. Good drive should leave a decent chance of getting up in 2 to a flat green. Another birdie chance
9/ 318 yd par 4 Out of bounds tight up the left. Mid to long iron should leave a short iron over the stream to a green that is set at an angle with OB very close to left of green
10/ 500 yd par 5 Challenging driving hole with OB tight up the left and 3 bunkers lined up to catch anything hit right. Long hitters will look to reach in two but mortals can lay up short of long bunker protecting front of green which is below the level of the fairway to a blind pin
11/ 390 yd par 4 Straight up par 4 with internal wall ready to catch anything hit right and well placed bunker on the left. Mid to short iron to green better short than long as ball can run off back
12/ 138yd par 3 Courses feature hole. A stand of pines totally protects the green with bunkers left right and back. No bail out areas. Dont be cute with forward pins, hit middle of green and take your par as anything short will hit timber.
13/ 290 yd par 4 Stroke index 18 but dont be complacent. Bunker left and another blind bunker for the big hitters trying to drive the green. Play short of first bunker for best shot to green. Tricky pin positions behind right hand pot bunker can make it very difficult to get close
14/ 542 yd par 5 Good drive will leave a decision whether to take on the two cross bunkers 120 yds from green. Green is blind as fairway rises up but green itself slopes front to back and approach shots can be hard to hold.
15/ 208 yd par 3 Tough par 3 especially if the wind is blowing. Well bunkered large subtly undulating green.Par is good here
16/ 380 yd par 4 Raised tee to well bunkered fairway. Green is blind so club selection important.
17/ 420 yd par 4 Tee is set back in trees and raised but the fairway itself is virtually blind. Take on the big trees with a draw or hit a fade to miss the bunker on the left. Depending on wind anything from long iron to short iron to large green sloping back to front. Excellent hole
18/ 300 yd par 4 Large pit OB on left has wrecked many a card on this short final hole. A straight drive will leave nothing more than a flick with a wedge toward the clubhouse at the back of the green. Slick green slopes back to front making any downhill putts very tricky

OTHER INFORMATION
