Founded In 1991 Mount Juliet`s outstanding Jack Nicklaus signature golf course has quickly earned the title of The Augusta of Europe.<P>
Already it has hosted the Irish Open on several occasions winning unanimous praise from the European Tour players.<P>
Mount Juliet hosted the American Express World Golf Championship in 2002 and 2004. Mount Juliet has recently been voted Best Parkland Golf Course Ireland by Backspin Golf Magazine, March 2008. This is not the first time that Mount Juliet Golf Course has been given such high praise, as Mount Juliet Golf Course won Irish Golf Tour Operators Association Golf Course of the year for 2003.

Mount Juliet`s 'signature hole' arrives as early as the third, played from an elevated tee across an awesome lake to an island green. The golfer confronts a lot more water as the round progresses especially at the perilous 13th which has proved unlucky for many golfers. The 470 yards Par 4 18th often requires two full woods to reach the long narrow green and a lake comes into play all the way down the left.<P>
When the golf is over the 1500 acres of the Mount Juliet estate offers many more attractions - horse riding, clay pigeon shooting, archery and fishing as well as leisure facilities including sauna, solarium, gym and an indoor swimming pool. Dinner is in the 18th century mansion that is now a luxury hotel.
