CLUB HISTORY
The course is ten years old. It has some very long par 3s over water,
4th par 3, 247yds. 5th par 3, 249yds. 7th par 3, 245yds. Rough is thick and punishing.
GOLF CLUB REVIEWS
22/05/2003 - Sent by Keith Taylor
Millers Barn is a very challenging short par 31 course. Don't let the short yardage mislead you, this course has some monster par 3s. The 1st is a straight forward easy par 4, watch out on the 2nd, the water at around 270 is easily drivable and the lake is deep. 4 will give you something to think about 247 par 3, with water at 200 and a 10ft high hedge on the far edge of the hazard, means you can't see if your ball has hit the narrow fairway, reach the thick rough or is in the second water hazard 5yds to the right of the green.
If you get the chance play 5 off the very back tees, its a straight par 3 at 249yds but there is trouble all round the green. 7 is the next to make you stop and think, 245 with water from 200 right up to the front of the green, if the wind is up the lake will eat your ball. On the whole the course is tough, with thick rough, the fairways are spares and nipping a ball off the top is not easy. The greens could do with some urgent TLC. On the whole the course looks a bit neglected. Phil Berry is the Club Pro and is very good at his job, if your looking to improve your game he's your man.
