Its been a while since I played the18 at this course, but do enjoy fine tuning my game on the 9s on a regular basis. In my opinion, a quality 9 hole with a healthy mixture of par 4s and 3s, unlike some "pitch and putts". Definately a course I'd recommend, but like previous reviews, I would advise you beware of some narrow and sloping fairways which can turn a decent drive into a liability with the roll of a ball!!

Played both the 9 and the 18 hole course. Lovely courses with lots of interesting challanges.
Greens well kept and fairways clear of any mud lumps any time I've played. The whole club seems to be situated on the side of a steep hill so above feet / below feet lies a regular feature. Only 1 water trap just in front of the 18th but the 8th is a fantastic hole, the green sits atop a huge bank about 380 yards fron the tee and even after a good drive careful club selection is needed to\avoid rolling back down the bank or ending up in the trees behind the green. Club house has a friendly atmosphere but the pro shop is very small and understocked. Can be slow especially at weekends but weekdays and early tee times get the best of this course. The 9 is much more woody than the 18 and accuracy is needed or a good supply of extra balls.

Thoroughly enjoyed playing this course. The fairways are very forgiving, and I thought the greens were very good for the time of year.
Also enjoyed the scenery and woodland.A very good course in my opinion.

Had a very good day, the course has obviously improved from the last time it was reviewed. A tough start, the 2nd & 3rd are as taxing as a Labour government. It is quite a long course but the fairways were quite hard so drives go further than you think, the greens were fair but not spectacular.
Would not recomend this course to beginners but middle to low handicap players will find it a good challenge.

  9 hole course. played 10 Nov 2002.

Greens indistiguishable from fairways, scared and pitted- quite unplayable, Hundreds of piles of mud resembling cow pats dotted all over 2, 3 & 5 fairways making play impossible.

Would not recommend.

Undulating parkland. 18 holes, 6779 yards. S.S.S. 72. 9 holes, 2432 yards. Par 33. 22 bay driving range, pitch and putt course, putting green. Founded in 1967.

Two miles from Junction 4 off M25, fifth exit on left (signposted).
