CLUB HISTORY
Course designed by Tom Morris in 1846.
Original course was 1st 2nd 3rd 4th & 5th on present Leven course , then the now 15th 16th 17th & 18th of the ajoining Lundin Links course, before turning back to play Lundin's 1st 2nd 3rd 4th & 5th and finishing with Leven's present 13th 14th 15th and 18th.
OTHER INFORMATION
Leven has the classic ingredients which make up a golf links in Scotland; undulating fairways with hills and hallows, out of bounds and a `burn` or stream. A top class championship links course used for British open final qualifying stages, it has fine views over Largo Bay. Leven is shared by two golfing clubs Leven Thistle 1867 & Leven Society 1858.The course hosts the oldest amateur event in the world every year in August and apart from the rabbits and the strong winds can be a pleasure to play on the beautiful putting surfaces and excellent fairways. Course record is 62 and SSS of 70.
