If you want to play a challenging course, this is the one for you. 6 x par 3's, 11 x par 4's and a par 5 to finish. Narrow fairways, a lake and the Lee navagational canal running beside the course will certainly make you think your way around this course. I defy you to try and find any better greens on a public golf course within 50 miles of this course, they are surperb. Improvements to the course are on going, re-shaping of bunkers and new sand is now taking place. 14.00 for a round of golf midweek is a great price, and cheaper later in the day. This course also has 2 practice holes which you can hire by the hour, great to practice off a fairway as opposed to practicing off a mat in a driving range. Practice putting green opening shortly. I dare you to give this course a try, you wont be dissapointed.

I learnt to play aspects of the full size game on this course and it's changed a few times since. If you are looking for somewhere inside the M25 and cheap I would advise you phone a few others before plumping for this one, however saying that it's actually a reasonable challenge and has also been improved considerably in the last few years. It has a bit of everything, elevated tees, elevated greens, water in the shape of a nature reserve lake that 6 holes sweep around and also the river lee navigation canal. The backdrops are not always pleasant as the surounding area is quite industrialised but it gives it that individuality you look for in a round of golf. It does get busy and it is a public course so expect there to be plenty of divots and slightly inconsistent greens. It's family friendly though and dress code is optional and all in all it's a bit of fun, so if you don't take your game too seriously and are prepared with the occassional whiff from the nearby water treatment works on the odd hole give it a go, you might be surprised.

Lake on first nine holes, good drainage - a short but very challenging course.
Visitors welcome everyday.
