Killin Golf Club was founded in 1911 by a group of dedicated farmers, tradesmen, merchants and professional people, to provide a golf course for the community and for summer visitors. They could not have chosen a more glorious setting for the course, resting as it does at the start of beautiful Glen Lochay with its river sweeping past the first fairway to end shortly in Loch Tay. Playing golf in the midst of such breathtaking scenery is a unique experience. The main structure of the present Clubhouse dates from 1922 and was build from money raised locally, one fund raising event of note being a concert given in Killin by singers from the famous Covent Garden Opera Company in London.Although now somewhat longer than the original course, as designed by the Stirling Golf Professional Mr. John Duncan, the original features still remain - four par 3s, four par 4s and a par 5 hole often described as the most scenic closing hole in Scotland.Killin offers the best excuse for not keeping the head down while playing golf.

What a fantastic course hidden away in a small highland village, stunning views, and a welcome that any club would be proud of. Some great holes, 2 played over the river, the forth can catch you out if not very careful, and the next requires a very accurate tee shot. I liked the variation in tee positions which although a nine hole course makes it feel like eighteen as the back nine is completly different from the front. If in Scotland you must try and fit this course in.

Parkland course in the breathtaking Breadalbane Hills. Described as one of Scotlands hidden gems. There is a strong junior section and we have built a wee par 28 course within the main course. We have also improved our practice area - this now has a 3 hole course, double driving bays and practice bunkers. A strong Gents, Ladies, and Senior section enjoy many socials and fun games. Although a nine hole course it has 14 different tee positions, making the second nine a different challange, there are 2 more planned for 2010/11.

Killin Golf Club - Killin During the months of November to March the clubhouse is on limited Hours from Wed-Sun, the course is open all week with an honesty box Mon-Tue, £10.00 winter fee, normal greens in play weather permitting. Please contact the the clubhouse for ant further information.
