Played Friday 28/5/06, after our prebooking went walkabouts(double booked) the assistant pro was kind enough to work us a tee time. Playing behind two societies (of 40 & 16) the round took well over 5 hours.
It's the first time I've been back to the course since it's name change (now Kent National G & CC, formally Moatlands) and they now do not take 2 for1 vouchers. The cost has been reduced to 25, we wondered why, until we arrived on the first green. Instead of repairing the pitch marks it would have been better to rake the greens, sand everywhere. A big dissapointment as the greens used to be the courses best feature, still some nice holes but my advice is avoid this course if you want to putt with any confidence and not spend nearly a quarter of the day on the fairways.

Parkland course built on the slopes of the Kentish High Wealds, full advantage has been taken of the individual contours and environmental features found on the Moatland Estate. Developed to the highest standards and specifications a perfect balance of Japanese and British culture and expertise. 18 holes, 7060 yards (Blue tees), 6693 (white tees), 6230 (yellow tees), 5471 (black tees), 5413 (red tees). S.S.S. 72. Full practice facilities.
Soft spikes only between 1st May and 30th September

From A21 take the B2160 to Matfield/Paddock Wood. Drive through Matfield and continue downhill through double bends until road flattens, turn right at post box into Chantlers Hill and then right again into Watermans Lane. Take the train from Charing Cross Station (London) to Paddock Wood (approximately 45 minutes).
