Course designed by Greens of Scotland in 1970.
The course extension from a 9hole to 18 hole course started in 1995 and was completed a year later. It was officially opened on 28th June, 1997. This course is really the Hidden Gem of Grampian’s Crown. The course at present measures 5,350 yds with a par of 69, but it is a very good test for all classes of golfers. It is a parkland course with undulating greens requiring an accurate approach shot to leave the ball in the correct position for the putt to follow

A Peter Alliss/ Clive Clark course with seven lakes & 100 bunkers. The 540 yd 15th hole is played mainly into the wind with 10 bunkers to negotiate.

- Take the A96 north out of Aberdeen, past Inverurie. Continue on the A96, under the railway bridge (with traffic lights) and on for a few miles to the Oyne fork
- Take the left fork (the B9002), following the signs for Insch & Archeolink (at Oyne).Proceed through Oyne (slow down to avoid the traffic police), past Archeolink on the B9002 until you arrive at Insch railway station.
- Turn right (before the level crossing) and follow the road into Insch Town Centre. Once you pass Jack Coopers bakery, take the next left toward the Bennachie Sports Centre
- Take the second on the left (Golf Terrace) and park in the carpark by the clubhouse
- It takes 45 mins (Aberdeen to Insch) on a good day
