CLUB HISTORY

Originally the site of an old rural RAF hospital located near Swansea Airport, the Course was designed by Hawtree in 1969.

Fairwood Park is an 18 hole championship parkland golf course situated in over 135 acres of majestic terrain and is situated on the Gower Peninsula, Britains first designated area of outstanding natural beauty. It is both the longest and the flattest golf course in the Swansea area, with buggy hire available. There has been considerable investment in the golf course and clubhouse since 1985, including the creation of 5 new lakes and the planting of over 8,000 trees, which present challenges to ones accuracy off both tees and fairways. This 6,658 yard course has hosted the Welsh PGA Championships on two consecutive occasions during the 1990s, and is therefore the only course in Swansea that can claim Championship status.
