CLUB HISTORY

Durham City Golf Club was established in 1887. It stands as one of the oldest inland clubs in England. In 1974 the club moved to its current course at Littleburn, Langley Moor. Situated just 2 miles west of Durham city centre, with access from the A690.
Established as one of the top courses in County Durham, in 2008 it will host the English Close Girls Championship. A recognition of the development of the course and the clubs forward looking attitude to golfers and the sport generally.

Parkland course bordered on several holes by the River Browney. Established as a good but fair test for golfers of all abilities. Nearly every hole is defined by tree lined fairways. All are played to large greens that are used throughout the year.
