One of the finest puplic golf courses i have ever played, did sufer a bit though because the ccl group that managed it for a while in my opinion did not look after it as well as they should of, but is now on it,s way to a spendid recovery, and has a very approachable golf pro and staff who has always been there to help

A lengthy and interesting course that I've played several times over the years. Excellent scenary and views. Mostly quite wide fairways but plenty of challenge as most fairways are lined with a variety of long established trees and three is good use of ditches. Only one small pond that I can remember for water hazzards. There is also some well mantained rough to catch the overly waywood shot. The long established greens are recovering from some bad management a couple of years ago but are now in very acceptable condition and getting back to their once excellent state. It's probably the finest public course I've ever played. Highly recommended.

A great course that has been completly spoilt by the quality of the greens.
For some reason the greenkeeper or management has deemed it correct to pour a ton of sand on each and every green. It was so bad that I was nt too sure whether I was allowed to ground my club while putting out.
I was told that the greens will not recover for at least 6 months.
Avoid if you rely on your putting to play to your handicap

A very good testing course with spectacular scenery, slightly hilly in places and apparently always breezy, I highly reccommnd this course, if you are in the area it's well worth a round.

Municipal course - wooded. 18 holes, 6300 yards. S.S.S. 70. 9 hole Pitch and Putt. Tennis courts available. Designed by Fred Hawtree in 1972.

Three miles from Rochester off A228 towards Isle of Grain.
