GOLF CLUB REVIEWS

  Cathedral Course Review
There are a lot of ditches on this course that just seem always to be in the wrong place(or right place if you like loosing balls). The 5th "The Mother" at 601 yards is a nightmare, with ditches down the left and right narrowing with bunkers to the left and the same ditch at the back that seems to wander past every hole at some stage. (14's hole out of 18 with water either a ditch or lake or both)
Its a target mans golf course. Needing very straight drives and knowing your iron distances is a must.

We played it mid April and were surprised that some of the fairways had bad crack's and bare patches so early on in the year.

Two 18 hole courses 'Tower' and Cathedral. Also 9 hole PAR 3, Putting Green, Carzy Golf, Huge Driving Range.

TOWER REVIEW.
First hole is par 3, 108 yards: Still stiff from the drive to the course? - this opener will soon tell you - target golf required here. 3rd is a par 3 165 over water. 4th has water, as does fifth in fact water plays a major part of this course. But do not despair. The fairways are immaculate as are the greens. Guaranteed no mats or temporary greens all year. I have played this course for three years and can vouch for that. The last three holes are really testing. 16th OOB left, water right for 150 yds. 17th, stream all the way up the left hand side of this par 5. Water 200 yds if you go slightly right of centre. BIG lake covers the right hand side of the fairway for about the next 200 yards = just make sure you stay to the left - but not too far left(remember the stream?). 18th is about 260 yards blind over a line of bushes - but it is pretty open on the other side - good par 4 to finish.

2 pro shops (Driving range and Club), 16 - 18 pounds a round, knowledgable coutreous staff and the food and ale!!!.

PS. The Cathedral course is a real mother (american expression I am informed), played it twice, couldn't afford the lost balls ( or was it didn't have the **** to play it too often!). Well worth a visit if you are in West Sussex. Enjoy - I do.
