Founded in 1924 and designed by Abe Mitchell who was the first Club Pro.
The Clubhouse is the oldest building in Europe currently in use as a Golf Clubhouse, with some elements dating back to the mid 14th Century and many of the timbers in the bar and dining room being from the early 18th Century. The course has hosted many Kent County events and has recently been partially re-designed by Donald Steel, as well as having a major new drainage system installed, to provide good all-year-round golf.

Parkland with sea views. Chestfield is a fair challenge for all standards of golfer and the welcome, charm and catering in the Clubhouse are second to none. An ideal venue for a great golfing day out.
