take no notice of the early reviews good course flat as you might expect, you will score well if you can keep out the rough. If it's windy then this is where the test comes in, some golfers don't like this course because it catches them out with its wide fairways. Greens ok but could do with a little TLC at times, overall a good course which will test you 15 quid weekdays 20 quid weekends............give it a go on an Essex links.

Since Glendale Golf have taken over running the course, the condition of everything has improved 200% ,
the Clubhouse is roomy, and welcoming, with decent food and booze available, at normal bar prices.
Pro Shop is small, but has everything you will need.
The Greens are puttable, and a bit slow.
Fairways are wide, but the rough is punishing to wayward shots.
Bring plenty of balls, if you slice!
The wind is a big factor, playing havoc, if it's blowing hard!
Proper Links stuff!!!!

Have a good day!!!!

People say that the course is in bad condition, yes it might be but have you seen the price of green fees, i am 13 years old and cost me 4 pound to go round 18 holes, this course is good to go and practise any time because its pay and play, you dont have to book to get on the course. This course is good for high handicappers that like to play a quick round of golf.

played (or at least tried) worst kept course ever had the displeasure of being on. The youngsters riding their bikes across greens and fairways only added to the misery.

the worst course i have ever played, to call it a links course is a joke. i've seen pitch and putt courses with better greens.

Nice enough course. Lesser players might not appreciate the challenging nature and the lack of Championship course standard fairways and green.

One of the worst condition golf courses I have ever played.

More like a field than a golf course.

Links course, with views of Hadleigh Downs and Castle. 18 holes, 6176 yards. S.S.S. 69. Floodlit driving range.

A13 towards Southend, A130 to Canvey Island, opposite sports centre.
