Calcot Park is an undulating, traditional, parkland course and is recognised as one of the best in the area. It was designed by Harry Colt in 1930 who also built, amongst others, Beaconsfield, Denham, Stoke Park, Sunningdale Old, Swinley Forest along with the East and West courses at Wentworth Club in Surrey.
The 18-hole course, Par and SSS 71, is 6300 yards long off the White Tees and is acknowledged as a demanding, yet fair test of golf. There are two par fives, both reachable in two by strong hitters and four excellent par threes, including the 7th, our signature hole, played across a lake to an elevated green.
The 13th is played across a stream in a shallow valley to a contoured green. The course opens and closes with two, long par fours. There are three small practice areas, practice nets and two practice chipping and putting greens.
Calcot Park has an abundance of mature trees and shrubs and the areas surrounding the course are home to a variety of wildlife including badgers, foxes and deer.

Situated on the outskirts of Reading in Royal Berkshire, Calcot Park is renowned for being a fair and exacting test of golf set in a tranquil environment. The quality of this Harry Colt-designed course and the accessibility of its location have resulted in the staging of many amateur and professional tournaments, with competitors always fulsome in their praise of the layout and off-course facilities.

The Club entrance is situated approximately 1.3 miles from M4 Junction 12. From this Junction, take the Eastbound A4 towards Reading. Continue straight ahead, through two roundabouts, passing the Calcot Hotel on your left and through a major junction controlled by traffic lights, passing Murdochs Restaurant on your left. After a further 400 yards, sight signs for Calcot Park adjacent to a small lay-by; the West Entrance to the Club is on the left, only 20 yards beyond these signs immediately before the Dual Carriageway begins. The East Entrance is approximately 700 yards further on from the West Entrance, some 350 yards after the next set of traffic lights and immediately in front of the "Welcome to Reading" sign.
