I am only 13 years old and enjoyed the golf course. The first nine holes are quite hilly and you have to hit it a long way to do good on it. I would not recommend this golf course to youngsters. I played much better on the back nine and i think they are in much better condition. I like the holes 12, 16, and 18. My favourite hole is the 12 because the green is uphill and a bunker is surrounding the hole green. You can try and lay it up or take the risk. Their are only a few things that i was dissapointed about the course, their was a lot of people walking their dogs getting in the way and disturbbing you when you are taking you shot. The fairways were not in very good condition because they were very muddy. I thought the greens were in very good condition and i am looking forward to play this course again.

Played the course on 22 nd May and found it to be in good condition. As in the previous reviews you need to book your tee before turning up.The par threes are not the biggest challenge you will come accross but the holes that disect the woods wll give any decent golfer a few anxious moments.Overall a good public course and if you live in the borough a season ticket is well worth investing in.Watch out for the magpies they will take your ball if you hit a long drive (thats my excuse anyway).

Being a public course, it's almost impossible to turn up and play. You must contact the course beforehand and arrange a booking time. Despite the number of golfers - of all standards - playing throughout the year, the quality of the greens and fairways is remarkably good. Not so the bunkers - which don't have rakes and are often full of footprints and paw marks! It's less than 6,000 yds and the final seven holes are through Belfairs Woods. The fairways are generous but watch out for the walkers and their dogs. Occasionally the crows swoop down and 'nick' the balls of those who have just made long drives!

Generally, a very pleasant public course. Not particularly difficult, and generally quite forgiving with some big wide fairways on the front nine, although the back nine holes are tighter through the woods. First hole is an easy par3, and the best hole is probably the long par 5 fifth - a birdie here requires a lot of skill. Course can be busy, and as it is in a woodland open to the public, you can get people/dogs etc. crossing your game. The condition of the course can vary a lot, but the greens were in particularly good condition Sep 02 when I played them last. In winter expect to be teeing off those horrible black plastic mats.

Parkland for the front 9 and heavy woodland for the back 9; easy walking but challenging golf. Play over Belfairs Municipal course, 18 holes, 5857 yards. S.S.S. 68.
