CLUB HISTORY

Designed by Pennick/ Steel in 1977.

The Valley course was opened in 1977 and within 7 years held the honour of staging the European PGA Satellite Tour Events helping launch the careers of Montgomerie and Parnevik onto the world scene. Now firmly established onto the Norfolk Open rota, its credentials as a tournament course are confirmed.

The more forgiving Hill course opened in 1989 offers wider fairways with a real links flavour. The abundance of gorse and a strong breeze make scoring just as unpredictable as the Valley course. However, its maturity has been recognised with the honour of staging the 2006 Norfolk PGA Stroke Play Championships.
