Founded as Benton Park Golf Club in 1909, located to the east of Newcastle
Following compulsory purchase by Newcastle City Council for housing, club moved to present location in 1947. The Arcot Hall course was laid out by James Braid and was first played in 1947.

A good test of golf for all levels, based on five challenging par threes, wooded/dogleg par fours and three par fives that are reachable for the longer hitters.
